CASA Information and Training

CASA Information Meeting

What is a CASA?

Court-Appointed Special Advocates are community members appointed by the juvenile court to advocate for abused and neglected children in the dependency system.

CASAs go through training in order to speak on behalf of the child and to provide them with stability and hope for the future. Foster children experience constant change through placement, school changes, social workers, and more. A CASA volunteer provides a voice to children and advocates for the services they need to build a brighter future. Reach out to your local CASA Program at Lassen Family Services for more information on becoming a CASA volunteer.

Send us a message or call (530)257-4599 and ask for the CASA Program if you are interested in learning more!
